The Batman film was something I'd wanted to do for quite a long time after the movie came out but just couldn't find the right mood music to accompany it with. Batman has always seemed to me to be a story of passion and intellect not a ravaging action-fest. In that spirit, I was determined to find music that would be intense and strong but not overpower the visuals or what we are each carrying with us in regards to the mythos of the character. Trust me, I really did think about all this stuff as I entered preproduction. I finally found this wonderful piece by E.S. Posthumus amongst my collection and it struck me immediately. I haven't had the urge to revisit this production since I completed it as I'm very happy with my chosen edits and the quaity of the sound - the only reason I'm up to v2 on this is because of the retitling I was forced to do for the DVD.
