After the triumph of Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson immediately became one of my
favorite directors. His loving touch with the material and his reverence of the story gave
LoTR a heart that is rarely seen in modern film. As such, I was expecting great things from
King Kong and while I felt it was an exceptionally fun movie, it wasn't up to the
par he established with Rings. Regardless, with action such as this it's a hard target to
avoid forever and with the DVD release of this movie I just had to cut it up. I was considering
using this music for my Naruto film but after I'd chosen Dark Chest of Wonders I knew
this one would go well with Kong. I'd like to take some time to revisit this one soon
as I ended up making some choices which, after watching the film a dozen or so times, I've
come to regret. Until then, however, I decided to release the film as-is.
